Off to BCN: Good thing we had all day

Our journey home has begun. We left Girona this morning taking the backroads along the coast since we had the time. It is a good thing that we were not in a hurry because finding our airport hotel was an issue partly because the hotel had changed names. After three separate attempts and driving through Barcelona we finally found it. We unloaded the car and then returned the car at the airport returning to the hotel by the shuttle. We settled in to rest before our long day home tomorrow which for me is 21 hours of travel. When travelling with a bike box it is best not to rush things because the stress of meeting travel timings can ruin a vacation.
