The Journey Back

Visa in hand I rushed in a taxi to the West Kowloon Train Station but there was no point in rushing because the station was totally dead.

Passing China immigration was too easy after all the trouble that had been done to get a visa.  They asked no questions and I just sailed through. The train was also dead but that surely changed once getting off in Shenzhen and switching to the metro line to the airport.

Up and away

After a slight delay the flight from Shenzhen took off and then I was in Shanghai a couple hours later.  It would have been nice to see my girlfriend at the airport but out of respect she knew I had been through hell and back on this trip and needed some space to recover.  I would see her soon enough and it's these gestures like this and more that I love her a lot.

I quickly settled back into my work and life routine, the relationship with Sophia got better and better, the fitness routine at the gym continued strong, and my company successfully changed my work visa and renewed it for another year.  I'm good until October 2020 at least.
