Bureaucracy and Khaosan

The hotel was just amazing here and I wanted to stay a week.   That was going to happen with the timing anyway.  I just loved the quietness and ambience of the place along with the proximity to Khaosan Road.

Na Banglampoo Hotel. It doesn't disappoint

Thankfully it would be a relatively straightforward day of bureaucracy to deal with the ongoing passport and visa replacement nightmare.  I set off to my Embassy and they of course knew me by now.  The new 2-year passport was ready for pickup.  By now I was creating quite a paper trail but all those documents would need to be photocopied multiple times and scanned to be used later on.

More fun in a government office

I gotta give credit to the Thais they even know how to add these conveniences inside a government building.

It was a familiar trip to Thai immigration where I didn't have to wait too long to get the latest passport activated with a Thai stamp.  It all went rather smoothly.  They even had a computer repair center on the premises which was useful to fix my laptop.

I also stopped by Pantip Plaza and got that much needed GPS tracker to put on my bike for an excellent price.  Those tasks successfully done, there was more chilling at the hotel and catching some comedy and partying on Khaosan Road.

Gotta pay my Khaosan taxes
