MotaaCycle Diaries - Exploring mighty Brahmaputra

My Guwahati Warmshowers host, Bulbul, and I decided to bike to his village, Santali, located on the banks of the mighty Brahmaputra River. After a few days of delays, we finally set out this morning. Guwahati becomes hot and humid as soon as the sun rises, and today was no exception. The ride through the city was uneventful.
We passed through smaller towns and settlements before the river suddenly appeared before us in all its grandeur.
Because I had all day to ride this mostly flat route, I took on whatever challenges I could find. One was riding on this rickety bamboo bridge. And I took full advantage of MotaaCycle, navigating sandy stretches and unpaved mud trails with ease.
After reaching Santali, we were treated with local sugarcane, star fruits and tangy, edible olives (?).
Finally, we went to the river to see sunset which was a show of natural Holi..
Today's ride: 80 km (50 miles)
Total: 1,174 km (729 miles)
