Shiroda to Malwan

A clear dawn, just a little mist in places.  I am using NH4 which is the North - South ‘coastal’ road which is generally quiet except for a few lorries carrying iron ore.  Looking back to appropriately named Redi I can see that the headland is being heavily mined, the red dust from the lorries colouring the roads.

Near the coast there are trees that keep the sun off the road but in places NH4 goes a little inland to cross estuaries where they narrower.  This means frequent climbs and the higher lands are open yellow grasslands, sort of American Prairie, with little shade.

Glenn FishGreat stuff Andy, well done. I’m a little late catching up with your trip this time, but read it through last night. It looks great. I particularly like your improvisation here and there!

Andy BuchanTo Glenn FishHi Glenn, Good to hear from you and I hope the storm missed you. Slowly trundling North, need to reach Mumbai early Feb. This really is a fantastic place to ride providing you start early!
Cheers
