91F is warm!
Day 3
Omak to almost Tonasket.
11am 86°F Ride With GPS is routing me on quiet country roads on the other side of the river, away from the busier parallel highway 97/20. Hot with a bit of a headwind.
12pm 90°F. Brief stop in Riverside to catch some shade at the town park. Back on hwy 20 again. More traffic but a very wide shoulder.
12:30 91°F Stopping early, about six miles north of Riverside. Energy depleted.
I realized later that I had failed to drink electrolytes today. And there is a headwind. And it is HOT. Like an oven.
Tomorrow will be a day off. Rain is due, so perfect timing. Spending two nights in Republic, cute town. One big pass left in WA: Sherman Pass.
