I left the bike behind today, having taken to foot scaling the steep hillside up from Pormork between two glaciers, Ejyafallajokull and Myradalurjokull. I walked to the point where the trail began descending the other side, taking in the view back to the valley and the surroundings hills to the horizon. It was a fine clear day as I remained for over an hour before returning down.
