Miranda de Ebro to Bidart (by car)

Day two on the road, out of Spain and into France. We had terrible weather today, but it was a short day in the car and we were at our hotel early enough for a nap for me. I slept soundly and wasn't woken by the thunder and lightning. We are on the Atlantic coast near Biarritz, a region known for stormy weather. It was raining when we came through on our way to Spain at the end of March, too.

I had all my layers out again, same as at the beginning of our trip a month ago, the wind jacket, the down jacket, the works. You wouldn't want to be out on your bike in this!
