The Long Way Home. Day 4: Harwich to London. The End.
By the time we'd loaded the bikes we were last off the boat. There's a short ride from the ferry terminal to the railway station, where there's a lift up to the ticket office and back down to the platforms. On the journey back to London, Tom and I filled the time with tales of bikes, bread, beer and snowboarding [I didn't have a lot to say here].
Back in London, it was a little colder than in Holland the previous day. The wind was blowing from the North-east, good news for us South Londoners, no wind in the face for the last few miles. It's also a pleasure to ride through the City of London on a Sunday morning, there's little traffic. We followed mayor Boris's blue route ["Cycle Superhighway"] from Southwark Bridge most of the way home. We're done, for now.
