1:55 pm, Aug. 2 - just arrived the RV Park in good shape. The northern 95/93 was lonely, but good to me. The shoulders were 4-foot wide and clean. Traffic was light compared to prior Hwy 3.
The scenery was mostly farmland and open land. Mountains lined a lot of the route as did smoke from the wildfires. I gave in and wore a mask. (I made some adjustments to the wear until I got something that worked so I could breath normally )
I made one stop in Wasa along the route. This small village hosted a lake and a Provincial Park (oh and a really nice store).
I met local resident Mike and Monaca from Calgary. Mike said Wasa is fire prone and has no fire department. Wasa has a big fire years ago, so he helps educate the community on the danger. He was very positive about my trip and offered some ideas.
Monaca, well, she drove up on her green machine and said. She loves Wasa and she knew everyone that walked by. She was a prior mountain bike so she loves bikes. Her green machine had a lot of character as you can see.

Not much to talk about so I'll let you look at some images from the road. Despite the heat and haze it was a great 42 miles.

Looking to the west the mountains showed black from a fire last year. Many of the farms had sprinklers working double time.
