Day 4 - Glacier to Whitefish

Day 4 - retuned to Whitefish

Nothing to report today other than it was a comfy ride back the way I came the other day.  I will say the small section of roadway near Hungry Horse that I was dreading was ok.  Lighter traffic with gaps that put me in better position for guardrail that lined the road.  I did notice a single track on the other side of the railing, but it wasn’t consistent either.

It is what it is!

Montana look right....

I really felt comfy on the rural roads through and out of Columbia Falls, nice town.  Oh, I did find a Starbucks, a big one with a patio and gift shop.  The bathroom was beautiful!

In Whitefish, I got a slow leak fixed in the front tire; no worries.

It is getting cloudy here; rain in the forecast.  I’ll have a decision to make tomorrow.  The days are long so it still might work to ride 42 miles to Trego, Mt. to camp.

I’ll check in tomorrow, for now I rest and plan. Thank you for following; if you send a comment know I appreciate it.  I might not get to reply until I get WiFi and time, but I appreciate.

Side Note:  Met local Whitefish resident Susan today.  She asked me what I was doing.  She is a seasoned touring cyclist who shared her knowledge about traveling by bike through Western Canada - many small towns that I will pass through.   So nice chatting, she told me there is a really nice hostel in Hope BC, and that I should take a walk around the city.

Thanks Susan!

Something New:  Suppose to rain so I thought I'd setup the tarp; might set tent up under it or sleep outside - that would be a first.
