Day 13 - Banff Legacy Trail to Canmore
Wow is all I can say about how this day has designed itself. What?
Well, keeping it short it was a great day of riding, and a great day of logistically planning - heck even saved big money.
Today I ventured on a cold, damp and cloud Canadian summer. Is it really August, where is the warm breeze.
The Banff Legacy Trail from Banff to Canmore is a GEM. Despite the road sounds, the trail is amazing. The views are again up to the Canadian Rockies' weather forecasters.
Toady, the views were cloudy, but still amazing. The trail winds like a roller coaster for 16 miles to Canmore and back to Banff.
Canmore is full of views, epic if you have good weather. The town is smaller than Banff and looked less busy There seemed to be a lot of construction heading into town though.
So that's it for today. I'm hoping to take a bus to Kamloops to rejoin my route. The detour around the closed roads and wildfires will cost me several days and probably some of the most epic views of the Rockies, but nature has to do it's business and rebuild the countryside for us to enjoy!
