(Nota bene: this is a dummy entry.  We aren’t going to Ag Roumeli after all, or to Chora Sfakion either.   Today’s ferry was cancelled due to high winds, so we’re rerouting the next three nights and avoiding the ferry.  It will be great, just different than we had planned.  Check back later to see where we’re really going.  We’ll leave this post here though as a historical relic.)

For today and tomorrow we are ferry hopping along the roadless southwest coast.  There are two ferries, operated by different companies.  Today we catch the one between Palaiochora and Ag Roumeli, which stops along the way at Sougia.  Runs once daily in season when the weather cooperates, leaving at 8:30 AM.  We’ll check out from our hotel early and eat breakfast on the waterfront by the terminal.

No biking today, because Ag Roumeli is roadless.  Instead, we’ll take a hike up into the base of famous Samaria Gorge.

It sounds like the WiFi service in Ag Roumeli May be questionable, so if you don’t hear from us this evening, don’t be concerned.  We’ll catc( up the next night after the second ferry, to Chora Sfakion.
