Santa Fe tour buddies tour → tomorrow we ride!
Packed hotel room with loaded bikes
Two days of driving, eight states crossed and 1600 miles of driving complete. We arrived at the Albuquerque Best Western around 11pm on Tuesday, unloaded the gear and bikes into the hotel room and crashed.
Wednesday is our one day to rest and prepare for riding out to the Divide on Thursday. Steve and I found the local grocery to stock up on bicycle food supplies for tomorrow’s ride, then met my most awesome friend Ed who lives in Albuquerque for a tour through old local ghost towns, a walking tour of Santa Fe and dinner with his wonderful wife Tara. Beautiful day full of laughs, smiles, stories and a sense that best friends are luckily friends for life.
Wheels down roll out on Thursday at 6am Mountain Time. Next stop is 84 miles away in Grants, New Mexico.
