Quiet day
We don’t usually have planned days off so close together, but we took another break here to give new people a day to settle in. Sadly, two expected newcomers had to cancel because of illness. We will be a group of thirteen for the rest of the trip, 11 riders and Jill and Todd Renninger supporting us again, as they did so well for much of the 2016 cross country ride.

This was the view out my window this morning, so not such a bad day to lie low and watch a movie.
A group of us went to dinner at a local pub, where we had regional specialties—Buffalo wings and beef on weck. A weck is a kummelweck roll, topped with kosher salt and caraway seeds. The beef is rare,, thin-sliced , and topped with horseradish. I’m not much of a beef eater, but I thought this combination was delicious.
