Madison to Johnson Creek
On the Glacial Drumlin Trail—home territory for me
Having grown up in southeastern Wisconsin, I’m in very familiar territory for the next couple of days. It’s fun to see towns, rivers, even streets and highways that I recognize. We were on the Glacial Drumlin Trail for about 22 miles today, all the trees were standing, and the trail itself was in much better condition than what we’ve been encountering.

Most of the trail was a long tree tunnel, with a few actual tunnels thrown in.
The sky was really this blue, the greens this vibrant. With a high temperature about 70 degrees, it was a perfect day for biking.
We were in no hurry to get to our destination, so we lingered quite a while at Rock Lake near Lake Mills, conveniently right along the trail.
Hope took this picture of me when we were stopped at a trailhead.
Today's ride: 36 miles (58 km)
Total: 310 miles (499 km)
