As many times as I’ve prepared and packed for trips, it’s still a challenge .  Before I leave DC, I’ll pack up my bike and ship it to Minneapolis.  Then I’ll drive to Albany, leave my car there, and fly to Minneapolis for a few days with friends and family before we hit the trail on May 18.  We will make our way slowly across the Midwest, southern Ontario, and the Erie Canal, arriving in Albany at the end of June. No more 80 mile days for this group, now mostly in our 70’s and 80’s!  I’ll start posting entries almost every day once we get rolling.
