Yuma Territorial Prison
The Yuma Territorial Prison, on a hill overlooking the Colorado River, was in operation from 1876 to 1909. Now a museum (with old jail cells) and state park. One of its inmates for 6 months in 1894 was a Mormon, jailed for polygamy. Upon release, he moved to another part of AZ and lived with his two wives Lucy and Prudence and their 20 children.
