Training
I trained for the upcoming ride primarily by maintaining a strong steady baseline of biking at least 10 miles every day for the past 2 years since 2/28/20. I missed only one 2-day stretch while kayaking with family in the San Juan islands and one 8-day stretch while vacationing in Iceland. In the first 12 months of the COVID pandemic, I biked 9,545 miles. It got me outdoors and kept me sane.
