Camp Marydale, where we're staying, is near St. Francisville LA, a popular tourist destination with several historic plantations.  Here's a photo of the Myrtles Plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The plantation was built in 1796 by General David Bradford, who was one of the rebels involved in the "Whiskey Rebellion" in the early 1790s, against a tax on whiskey.
