Tonight we're staying in an exhibition hall on the Suwanee County fairgrounds in Live Oak FL. Coincidentally, some rodeo events are being held this evening (and the next 2 days) in an arena on the fairgrounds. I and others in our group walked over to the arena and watched some of the steer-roping event. In the photo below, the steers are penned in the foreground before being released into the arena (1 by 1) and then chased and roped around their horns and rear legs by 2 horseback riders who compete against other riders to do so in the quickest time.
