Bruce is 66 years old and lives with his wife in Charlotte NC.  They have a son and daughter who live in Atlanta and Houston, respectively. 

From 1983 to 1988, when he worked as an accountant for James River Paper Company, he and his family lived in Green Bay WI. In 2018, he retired as a controller at Schneider Electric. 

In 2019, inspired by a former colleague who did a cross-country bike trip after retirement, Bruce went on a TransAm bicycle ride sponsored by ACA, 4,000 miles from the east coast to the west coast through the middle part of the U.S. That ride started with 12 riders and ended with 8, plus 2 ACA staff as leaders. On that trip, everyone provided his/her own tent and took his/her turn (with a partner) cooking and cleaning up after cooking. (Gerri was also on that trip.) Bruce decided to do this TBH cross-country trip because the riders were promised to be pampered.  He likes the physical challenge. He's also a runner, having run several marathons (including the Boston Marathon and the NYC Marathon).
