Alpine TX is big enough to have a hospital, drug store (where I got a second Covid booster with the help of my wife Rozan, who found the store for me), cafe (where I and many other riders ate pancakes or cinnamon rolls), and Amtrak train station.  Here I am pretending to climb into the engine of a freight train to move it out of the way of the Amtrak train due to arrive at 10:38 a.m.
