Time to put gear in a pile, lube the chain, pump up the tires, and head for the start line. California contingent due to rendezvous with Illinois contingent in Flagstaff on Saturday evening.

Forecast calls for overnight lows down toward freezing, so I'm carrying extra cold weather clothes.
Also, because we're riding in Arizona, and RJ is an Illinois guy, I decided to wear my California colors.
