Bill later identified this as a Grevillea petrophiloides.
There were lots of isolated storms in the morning. As they day progressed they became more frequent. I ended up a bit wet and a bit cold.
In front of the silos is a fenced oval shaped enclosure. Perhaps this is to dry the grain?
It was hilly all day with a strong headwind. Today wasn't a pleasant day to cycle.
The rain stopped a few kms before Northampton so I was able to dry out a little.
I stopped at the bakery and got some hot food and a coffee to warm up.
The town has some cool old stone buildings:
I checked into the campground and put my tent up in between showers.
