I had a good sleep in today because I didn't have far to ride to get to Newmerella.

The first 20kms today was hard packed gravel trail.

Most of today's trail was surrounded by forest. I would only see 6 other cyclists today. They were all heading towards Nowa Nowa.

More wooden trestle bridges.

There were very big. I can't imagine how they could have manoeuvred the big logs into place years ago.

Some hilly green pastures.

I was very happy to see a cute wombat slowly waddle across my path. His burrow was on the side of the trail.

This tree had 3 trunks that looked like they were plaited together.

A yellow tailed black cockatoo. I see lots of them. Usually they are too high to photograph.

I saw a few of these pretty pink flowers. I don't know what they are.

Bill later identified this as Heath Millwort. Thanks Bill!

Once the gravel finished, the trail was more like a forest track.

This is where my aunt Veronica and uncle Neil have a dairy farm. In my younger days, I worked on a dairy farm near here. It was hard work.

Meet Spike, the farm dog.
