Shepte to Beineu 4/4; 08/05
Packing up was not easy. The wind was not letting up, and things were flying around. When the tent was dd-pegged the wind nearly whipped the outer out of my hands, which would have been a bit of a disaster if it had flown away.
On the plus side, the wind was a tailwind for us. It catapulted us to Beinue, our destination, in about 3.5 hours — at times we were moving at over 30KMh, barely having to pedal, the wind was that strong.
It was a good feeling getting to this halfway point through the desert. The hotel felt like the height of luxury, after three nights camping.
