After breaking camp - cabin - photo, ready to rumble.
Smart move to get the cabin. Rain and lightening happened as forecasted. It didn't start though until after having a great solo stove campfire and amazing conversation.
Today's route took us on a mix of road (NS 3 E) and the trails of the Rum Runner and Bay to Bay. Absolutely excellent flat rail trails. Dan thank you for leading the way.
The weather was a mix of sunshine and clouds with a cool breeze! Excellent conditions. We made stops in the port town of Lunenburg. I must apologize I used the big guns here shooting images vice the phone so.
A highlight of the morning was seeing the Schooner BLUENOSE II leaving the harbour at Lunenburg. Dan captured these images.

The 2nd port of call was Mahone Bay NS - another small town on the water. With boats moored in the inlet, we got beers and shared a mussel chowder soup with crackers!!!

Next of the three "gems" today was Chester. This was the longest leg of the day, so we enjoyed sea food and plenty of water. Just a great stop. Our route was mainly on trails, with no traffic!
Then onto a beautiful Hubbard's Beach Campground. First actual overnight tenting in Canada.
Views of the bay at Hubbard's Beach Campground - by Dan.
