Out and back to Selestat: Among the vines🍇
We decided to do an out and back ride to Sélestat for coffee this morning because we had to go to Strasbourg to sort out travel issues. Before launching I made my morning trip to the bakery for pastry and bread. While there I asked, in French, about the difference between a baguette and a banette. Banettes are made wholly by hand and with different flour than baguettes and they have pointy ends. Baguettes are made with white flour and only partially by hand. The route followed some of the roads along the Route du Vin but also bike paths that past right through the vineyards. We came back a slight different way and a little flatter.
