Off to market: 🍅🍏🥖🥕🧀🥩🥒

This morning we decided to do a very French thing and ride our bikes to the market in the town of Barr which is 5 km away. We found some amazing fresh produce for dinner tonight. Hilary is cooking pasta with salad at our flat for the 5 of us since Carol and Ron hosted us a few nights ago. Our lovely fresh vegetables cost a whopping 8€ ($13) which in Victoria would have cost us at least $30. After returning to Andlau to drop off the groceries we headed out again for another ride east to the flatter geography however there was a good head wind that made it a challenge. We completed a loop of 66km with a stop in Obernai for lunch.

I have the baguette hanging out of my trunk while Christopher has a rear basket of goodies.

Mont Sté Odile is a prominent landmark in the area. There is also a vineyard on the hillside.
