Digne-les Bains: A well deserved rest day

Today was a well earned rest day. The only cycling was to a local bike shop to checkout my brake pads. They started squealing a little yesterday so I wanted to make sure the brakes pads were not shot because there are more downhills to come. The mechanic said they were fine but in the future I will travel with spare pads on long trips like this one to be safe. Other than that I did some laundry, wandered the town and napped for 3 hours.

A map of where we are. We had lunch in Sisteron yesterday and we are in Dignes now. We head through Moustiers Ste Marie tomorrow and will be in Castellane the day after next.

Our hotel tonight is lovely. It does not look like much from the outside but it is lovely on the inside with an eclectic mix of decorations from its past including a very large bird cage full of very vocal canaries. This is the lobby.

This is the funky hotel in which we are staying. It is a little retro but very nice.

We had the evening briefing on the patio last night with a few light showers.
