The killer pass outside of Mitchell that everyone was warning us about for days was not a problem. Give me enough gears and I can climb anything. : )

Barns are disappearing at an amazing rate. This one appears to be well cared for.

I did not have problems tolerating the heat once I started keeping my shirt wet at all times. Running through the sprinklers was more fun than dipping my shirt in the river.

We spoke with many different motorcycle riders during our trip concerning road conditions and routing. Great folks with many of the same concerns we had. This couple was riding from Oklahoma to Portland, OR to Portland, ME and back home. This would finish up their goal of all 48 lower United States.

We enjoyed the shade trees at the hiker/biker. Not so nice was the noisy highway traffic just on the other side of the hedge.
