Day 99: St. Sulpice to Champlain

Another day of cycling.

On the way out of Trois Riviere, I met Marc from Sherbrooke. He cycled up beside me at a light and we struck up a conversation. He's staying at a nice campsite by the church at the east end of town. It would have been a nice place to stay, but I wanted to go just a bit further - tomorrow is a big day. Still, I regret not staying there and visiting with him more.

I stayed at Le Royale Campground ($20). The campground owner was very informative. He provided lots of advice for the roads coming up. The St. Lawrence River is 5 km wide here and the boats can pass within 300m. The campground itself was small (15 to 20 places) and just a couple of kilometres from the grocery store.

End point:
