Day 89: Morpeth to Point Pelee and return: South!
I left at 7:25 AM this morning. It seemed like a good idea to get an early start. The prevailing winds are from the west. If I left early I would be heading into the headwinds before the winds picked up. When the winds picked up later in the day I would have a tailwind. This plan worked surprisingly well.
The weather was hot, hazy and humid again. The roads were flat all day. I made it to Point Pelee, took my bike as far as I could and then walked to the end of the spit to make it to the furthest point south on the Canadian mainland. I found someone to take the victory photo and then headed back. I made it back to the campsite by 7:00 PM.
