For this trip, we are riding our current bikes. Jim has a Trek Crossrip and mine is a Cannonade Synapse. Both bikes are great for riding around the city, but definitely NOT touring bikes. Next summer we will both be on Surly Disc Truckers - yay for more Granny Gears!

Jim has a couple of Axiom rear panniers and I have Ortlieb bags. We tried to pack light, but even so, we were pretty loaded for these bikes.

We got front racks for Jim's bike, and two front Ortlieb bags to put on them for this trip, as Victoria has a booming Craft beer industry and we wanted to bring a couple of our growlers to fill up while there. Only problem was, we forgot to pack the growlers! Ah well, I guess we were just a little too excited about riding - not to worry, though, we managed to solve that little problem (see Day 3).
