Don Khon to Don Khong
After breakfast we setoff for Don Khong via Don Det and Don Som using small ferry crossings between the islands. The route we chose was based on Mick Bradban's trip from Don Khong to Don Khon earlier this year.
Leigh had picked out Mali's Guesthouse, just south of the centre of Muang Khong as a potential place for the night and a good choice it was. A lovely large room on the first floor (second floor for those coutries that don't have a ground floor) of a well kept building with a beautiful view of the Mekhong from the verandah outside our room. There is also a small swimming pool (empty right now - I guess it's a low season thing). The asking price was 160K which we felt was fair for an A/C room in such good condition and surroundings.
