Is Heaven Better Than This?: Newbury to Silversprings Conservation Area
Well, surely. But it would be tight contest vs the riding today. Sun shining bright, 65F, smooth, traffic light Canadian highways with rideable shoulders.
A young dude came flying by us on a mountain bike. Nothing would do but Spoon give chase and catch him. He did. But he stopped before I could get the picture. Spoon was not worth a flip the rest of the day.
We stopped at a fine bike shop in St Thomas. Spoon thought he needed one. Not. Paul the owner donated a used tire to back up my well worn Maxxis. And two cokes. Would accept no Loonies. Canadian hospitality.
Loonies and Toonies. Canadian coins. $1 and $2. The Toonies are silver and gold. Two colors. That's how you remember which is which. I confused them and left a Toonie for a tip when all I intended was a Loonie. Money well spent.
I wanted Port Burwell Provencial Park. Spoon said he was too tired to go 15 more miles. We're at Springwater Provencial Park. Good stop. The park visiting was fun. Mike on his illegal-in-the-park electric folder, feeling extra fine. Cole and Mitchell, two kids on bikes out exploring, with lots of questions. Future tourers?
Lake Erie at Port Dover tomorrow.
Daily angst: My pawnshop Sony Cybershot started vibrating. Who ever heard of a camera that vibrates. I tried every thing. Mitchel and Cole, kids in the park, tried everything. Spoon tried everything. Nothing stopped it. My daughter
Googled the problem. Lots of complaints, no help from Sony Corp.

Quiz: What did the guy at the bike shop give me? How do you tell the difference between a loonie and a toonie? What happened to my camera?
Today's ride: 58 miles (93 km)
Total: 349 miles (562 km)
