Wapsi Great Western Line Trail
The days are getting short as we are making our way back to Minneapolis for our return home. But … a few more days and rides to do.

Today we made our way to Elam, Iowa to ride the Wapsi Great Western Line trail. The trail goes north as far as the Minnesota border although we didn’t get quite that far.
This is a true rail trail with very few interactions with cars and although paved provides a scenic venture across the Iowa landscape. At one point the trail made several 90 degree turns along property lines which was a definitely unique feature.
After reaching our turn around spot, we realized that today would provide enough miles / kilometers for PedalPushin Wife to make a 61 km birthday ride. Bonus!
