Not a great nights sleep last night - there was a compressor going for 10 seconds every 30 seconds!  Yeah needless to say last nights accomodation got a very bad review from me this afternoon.

outside the villa from hell!

Got another early start this morning around 7am, breakfast was papaya and bananas and once we got back to the main road we got 2 sweet buns each this time from a real local baker and not from a local western style baker!  The road was quiet at first and between the numerous towns we went through it was relatively quiet unless going through the shopping precinct.

One thing to note - from this area and south was hit hardest by the December 26 2004 Tsunami so there are lots of pockets of graves or memorials.  I suppose there were thousands of locals killed and if their bodies were recovered they would have just buried them where they were found.

it is quite iinteresting and iit costs 2000 rupees each to enter.

the date buried and how much is on each place card and after about 2 months the turtles pop up and they are then put in the big baths

Stopping about 12km short of Galle for a bottle of lemonade - very refreshing it was as it was a very hot humid day with very little wind

Another buddha just before Galle

On the edge of Galle you can see the white building on the right was devasted in the Tsunami so they just rebuilt bigger to the left of it!

Sharon O'BrienHaha gosh thatโ€™s an inventive way of doing washing ๐Ÿ˜Š
Shame about your terrible accommodation & sleep but that was a great day with going to visit turtles & riding through colourful towns. That cow photo was hilarious relaxing & taking in the view ๐Ÿ˜‚
