In Crémieu (a photo gallery)
Crémieu is an exceptional little place. Now a small town with a population of a few thousand, it has an important medieval history that’s been structurally well preserved, leaving it as a veritable living museum of towers, ramparts, religious structures and private residences dating largely from the 13th through the 15th century.
The town is well presented for visitors, with a walking tour that includes around 50 sites with information panels in French, English and German. In some of the inner neighborhoods it seems like every address you pass is worthy of your attention. With about an hour to explore it before dinner and another afterwards, we just scratched the surface.
Given that, you’d think the least we could do is invest in a better photo gallery. You’d be wrong though. Maybe we’ll return and narrate some of this when we finally see another rainy day again, but for now all we’re leaving behind is a disorganized photo dump to remind us to come back and encourage others to come and see for themselves.
