Fort Edward to Albany
Leaving from the Landmark Motor Inn we took quiet Rt 50 and other roads until it joined the Empire State Trail in Schylerville. Since this was our last day on the road, and we knew a stay at my sister's house was planned we decided to make a few stops.
First stop was the Saratoga Monument in Schylerville followed by a stop at the Schyler country home. The owner of the bike shop in this town showed us the way and told us what to expect the rest of the route to Albany.
Finding the bike paths in Half Moon took us off the road and into somewhat familar terrority as I grew up in Troy, NY. Before we got on the Hudson Mohawk Trail we stopped one more time at Stewarts in Watervliet where I used to work many, many years ago! Arriving in Albany we cycled up Clinton and onto Washington Avenue to my sister's home and arrived just in time for supper!
