Camping at Franklinton P. D.

I went to bed at 9:45 last night and slept until 5:32. I felt quite rested after the day off. There was a heavy dew so my tent was wet.  I put the footprint and rain fly in a large ziplock to keep from getting other stuff wet. I felt a little dehydrated when I woke up,  so I drank a whole water bottle when I got up and a big cup of tea with breakfast. I ate 2 packs of oatmeal, raisins, a banana, yogurt with blueberries and granola for breakfast. I packed a PBJ sandwich (which I didn't eat), a granola bar, a clementine, and some trail mix for the ride. I stopped at 22 miles at a church and ate the clementine and granola bar.  At about mile 38 I stopped at a convenience store and got a bottle of water and a Reeses, which I ate. I also ate some trail mix. At mile 55 I stopped at a convenience store/restaurant and bought and drank a bottle of gatorade.  I also ate some trail mix. I tried to make myself drink every 30 minutes, even if I had to stop. In Franklinton, about 0.5 miles form the campsite, I decided to eat lunch. I went to the Swamp Monster Restaurant (quite a funky vibe) and got a bowl of gumbo, half of a shrimp poor boy, and an order of beignets.  I could have eaten more.

We are camping at the Franklinton Police Department. It is quite a nice setup. We have access to a bathroom with a shower, the kitchen for cooking and eating, and a nice grassy area in the back for our tents.

Sickness has hit the peloton. BW is out of commission because he has a patch of tines cruris on his behind. JW and PB have colds and PB didn't ride today. I hope I don't get it.

A guy at the convince store gave BD some home made jambalaya for us to eat for appetizer.

Today's ride: 66 miles (106 km)
Total: 741 miles (1,193 km)
