Today was the final preparations. Esther and I ate breakfast with SR, AH and BD (the latter 2 are our leaders). I asked a bunch of questions about what to take. Arlen let me take a look at the trailer 

After breakfast I spent 2 hours winnowing stuff down. I have a lot of what if stuff and got rid of a lot of it. I still have 2 large bags, but since the tour is not full there is room. We will see what Icregret taking or not taking. 

Since I couldn’t get into the room I stored my stuff in the trailer. We went to Target and a bike shop to get a few things.

After a PBJ lunch I tuned up my bike. I fixed the bad shifting on my rear by adjusting the derailleur using the etube app on my phone and my new D-Fly Bluetooth dongle. I also had to adjust the high limit screw. I adjusted my brakes and then tried to renew sealant in my tires. However I could not get the front to reseat. We had a meeting at 4 and the bike shop closed at 5:00. Esther took the bike for me and they found that there was a problem with the rim tape. They fixed it for free! Esther gave the guy a tip but should have given a bigger one. 

After the meeting BD and AH cooked dinner. We had burritos. There was enough for Esther and two of the other wives to eat. 

After dinner we had a map meeting to go over the route. It will be a short ride. There are showers expected around noon. I hope to get to the hotel before then. We will stop for pictures at the Atlantic. 

I had to empty the water tank and blow it out so Esther doesn’t have to. I am sleeping in the van tonight because I know the mattress is good.
