Day 5
Yuma - Wellton,AZ
Sunny skies and westerly winds made for a great day. Motel/hotel placement in this area are scarce so when planning Tim had to plan the miles to ride accordingly . We may be in desert country but there are still some hills to climb as we made our way through the Fortuna Foothills. Yuma County is noted for it dry ,sunny days with little humidity. Can't seem to get enough of they beautiful hills contrasted against an incredible blue sky. We are in Wellton,AZ, near the Yuma "test" site for weapons. We heard some booms this afternoon. The microtel we are in tonight is great. We soaked in the hot tub which was wonderful. Tomorrow , we are in Glia Bend camping as there are no motels around.
