Frankfurt to Donaueschingen: Trains, trains, and stairs
Today was a day of train travel. We rode our bikes through Frankfurt to the main train station, where we bought our tickets and started our first journey with heavy bikes on and off trains. That was quite an experience, but it definitely got better with each train transfer. Taking them down stairs, we could have done without! The train trip took five hours, and we arrived in Donaueschingen a few hours ago. It is a really pretty town, and it is where the Danube River has it's source. We have checked into The Hotel Linde, and we start the actual bike journey tomorrow morning. Hoping for good weather!
