Voices from the island (6)
"Don't ask me how because I don't know, but things will change, here in Cuba and in America. George Bush, he is a crazy man. Loco. Crazy. America is in crisis because of his war. The economy is in a bad state because of him and because America is such an economic... how do you say, "poder"? Power. The rest of the world is going into recession. But he is going.
"And in Cuba, too, things will change. Fidel is sick and no longer ruling. He will step down, I'm sure of it, at the presidential congress. Then we will have a leader with new ideas. New ideas will come to the surface. And when Clinton wins in America, she is much more open. With new leaders and new ideas, perhaps after a little while they will find a way not to fight each other any more and things will change. I hope so."
- Santiago, Havana.
