Before returning to Korčula town we followed the seaside path to the old town. The Adriatic was a clear and blue-green as all get-out. -- Lumbarda, Croatia

We returned to town and cycled around a bit before going to our apartment. A few choice spots presented themselves for APs like here along the old city walls. -- Korčula, Croatia

The little park by the harbour was a nice spot to sit and read reviews to decide on where to eat supper. Maha Gastro Pub won out and was worth it! -- Korčula, Croatia
As always, I was up early and today I looked over to the kitchen window as soon as I was awake - to see the cat on the ledge. In she came, purring away while I gave her some goodies to feast upon. She trotted around, hopped for scritches and just generally spread great joy.
Today was a very relaxed day since we only had to go a few kilometres back to Korčula town. I messaged our host asking for a bit more time and she said we were welcome to stay until 1 pm if we wanted. So we stayed and hung around the apartment. Gradually we packed out goods onto the bikes, had a little snack then enjoyed watching the cat playing in the yard then running back to us for some more attention... and more food.
Alas, we had to say good bye to our sweet little fuzzy soul. In this short time she captivated my heart. I found this extremely difficult and worried about her future though she seemed sweet enough to be scooped up by someone else at some point.
We decided to follow the seaside path around to the old centre then went up to the road and headed back to Korčula along the same route we had taken yesterday, but this time there was 100% blue sky, the sun was warm, the water sparkling. Absolutely breathtaking.
We had heard about a bakery by the old walls, Bobić, so we went for a latte and some pastries. Just outside people were packing away the remnants of the Korčula Triathlon gates and signs, so there were people on bikes here and there and some of the bars were packed with competitors. As it got closer to check-in time, we headed to our Apartments Luvi where we were soon offered our same room from a few days ago.
It was so nice out we headed back down to the old centre and wandered a bit and perused the local restaurants and found one that sounded promising - Maha. More later.
The next quest was to find someone. Some years ago my parents came to Korčula where they met someone who has tourist apartments and they enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. The fellow lived some of the year here in town and part of the year in Mississauga, ON, (near Toronto). The only thing is that they hadn't written down his name. I was on a quest to find this person. The waiter at Maha suggested one person and we went about looking for him. But in another stop at a tourist agency the fellow, Vlado, knew of a man who completely filled this description. In fact, his apartments were next door to his agency that we were standing in. Alas, Mr. Zvonko Jelavić would not be here for another month but Vlado did give me his number and said he is on whatsapp. I will solve this yet!
With messages back and forth to my parents and to Zvonko (nothing back from him yet) it is seeming we have found our man.
With some of this sleuthing out of the way, we went back to Maha where we got a table and ordered a pretty delicious meal of a pulled pork sandwich and a beef sandwich with homemade fries with truffle mayo. All of the ingredients are sourced from nearby gardens and farmers. The food was amazing and the host was funny, clever and helpful.
On the way back to the room we stopped at the Studenac market for a few breakfast foods and some ferry snacks and called it a day.
