Tamworth
Rest & Reflection
Tamworth
The highlight of Day 9 was catching up with friends, some of whom I’ve known for at least 58 years. From when our family first moved to Tamworth from Barraba in the mid 1960s.
There was also some time to cycle around East Tamworth to see familiar sights and reminisce about long past decades when we lived here during my school years.
It’s been an enjoyable, reflective day. One of those full, memory prompting days.

Ian WallisA fine entry on the good points of Tamworth, a fine looking town but not New England. It shot up the rankings and Armidale plummeted when Barnaby Joyce moved up the hill. Ian

Graham SmithIan I’ve always preferred Nandewar to name the ancient area where I grew up. We could see Mt Kaputar in the Nandewar Range from my home village of Barraba. And there’s no resemblance to England, new or old, in the Kamilaroi country I’m familiar with.
As for that MP, the name isn’t worth mentioning.
