Lots More Hills
Solid Pedalling Before Torrential Rains
Tuena to Blayney
The hamlet of Tuena was a beautiful place to camp. Quiet, scenic with an excellent campground. The only drawback was that it is located in a valley. A deep valley. One we had to pedal out of today.
So 1100 metres of hill climbs in about 70km brought us to Blayney. The scenery was beautiful almost the whole way. Traffic was light. And the road surface was mostly excellent and there were several small villages to have rest breaks in. Places such as Grabben Gullen and Trunkey Creek.
The only bad news is that a major severe weather alert has been issued by authorities. Extremely heavy rain is on the way. We have taken note of the advice and booked into a cabin in Blayney caravan park. Being in a tent would be a soggy experience over the next day or two. Luckily I have family near by
I’ve arranged to visit family. It’s highly unlikely we’ll be able to ride any significant distance.
We are bunkering down till the weather system passes.

Torrential rains are NOT what I envision about Australia. I wish you good luck with that situation.

We're hunkering down in a nice B&B in Coonabarabran. Rain should stop around midnight so we're heading into the Warrumbungles NP tomorrow.

I didn’t notice any houses currently for sale in Trunkey Creek, but the pub serves good coffee. Worth the climb up from Tuena.
