Day2 Marion Caravan Park to Norman Bay
First thing the next morning we were faced with a stiff climb which caused me to dismount and walk. I never weighed my gear but it must have been at least 20kgs which is a lot different to riding an unloaded bike up hills. We followed the road down the Fleurieu Peninsular which was reasonably flat until our lunch stop at Sellicks Beach.
Although it was sunny there was a cold north cross wind which meant that we did not stop for too long to admire the ocean view. In fact the weather for 90% of the ride was disappointing. After lunch we had a six km climb before a welcome descent into Myponga where we stopped for a cuppa and a snack. A few more ups and downs and then another nice descent into Yankalilla then three km of flat road to Normanville, our stop for the day.
Today's ride: 75 km (47 miles)
Total: 83 km (52 miles)
